It was a great poet (Percy Bysshe Shelly) that once said “Our sweetest songs are those that tell of saddest thought.” There are millions of songs that have come out of broken hearts and these songs are the best songs that you’ll ever hear, especially if the singer is singing from the heart of love. A true singer reaches into the very depths of his or her heart and brings out of that heart the gift of love and all too often this gift of love comes from deep dark experiences of their own, all those lonely days and lonely nights and a deep longing for love that they once had and perhaps at times they still do have that longing feeling.
Whether you choose to believe it or not, this is all good, especially if you’re a singer and you love music because you have to step into somebody else’s world to be able to sing to them and after all, your deep wish here is not just to selfishly entertain people but to share your heart and your love with them through the broken hearted song that you are singing.Well, here’s a beautiful girl who’s singing from a broken heart, she says in the song that “she used to be so lonely, she knows the feeling well, of waiting for the night to end, still waiting as the day begins” so she uses these experiences of her own to reach out to the lonely man in the song who you picture is caught up in the treadmill of life, and the treadmill of life as we all know doesn’t do much for lonely broken hearts – people just grow lonelier and lonelier and become more and more lost in this and so few people will reach out and truly touch these people. So if you come across a singer who is doing this then you come across a very precious person who’s trying to touch the heart of another very precious person and in a lot of ways, the singer is inviting them into their fragile broken heart. A fragile broken heart is a very sensitive place to be so the singer is offering someone something that is very precious and in that heart is the very gift of Love and Life Who also had a broken heart and that Someone is Jesus! And so Jesus said, “If they receive you, then they will receive Me, and if they receive Me then they will receive Him that sent Me.”
We all need Jesus and the beauty of the truth here is that Jesus can come to you through a beautiful girl or a handsome man and the real beauty here of course is the beauty of the heart, the beauty of the spirit, the beauty of the personality, the beauty of the love, and the beauty of the song!
“Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God.” (2 Corinthians 1:4)
