Years ago Moses told his people to keep God’s words between the frontlets of their eyes, he also told them to lay up God’s words “…in your heart and in your soul, and bind them for a sign upon your hand, that they may be as frontlets between your eyes.” (Deuteronomy 11:18) His whole point here was that we should be going God’s ways and not man’s ways and so when we choose to look forward and go forward then we will be walking in God’s words and God’s ways and not man’s ways and so he told his people to keep God’s words between the frontlets of their eyes. He went on to say, “And ye shall teach them (to) your children, speaking of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, when thou liest down, and when thou risest up” vs 19.
So what a contrast to today’s world, a world in which people have iPhones in their hands and between the frontlets of their eyes they of course have the same phone and all of these worldly words and all of these worldly conversations that people are laying up into their hearts and into their souls is widespread, it’s in every house, it’s down every street, it’s round every corner, it’s there when people lie down, it’s there when people rise up – and it’s particularly bad amongst the youth of this world – that’s not to say that it isn’t widespread amongst the older generation also and even the older older generation are all going down the same road as they all communicate all of these worldly words amongst each other, laying them up in their hearts and in their souls “…speaking of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, when thou liest down, when thou risest up.”
So all being said, what a clever piece of propaganda the Internet is and you could say that it’s an idea stolen straight out of the Bible, it’s all of course done via technology but it should all be done through God’s Spirit. It’s God’s Spirit and God’s words that truly connect people because where two or three are gathered together in His, Jesus’ name, there is He in the midst of them, speaking to us and communicating to us God’s words and not man’s words and all those words that speak of the world and not of God!
