People might ask: Where is love to be found? On the one hand love is to be found when you are in the right place, at the right time, doing the right thing, and with the right person or persons, so if this is true that you find love when you are in the right place, at the right time, doing the right thing and with the right person or persons then you might ask: how come this is true, the only way this could be true is if love has some kind of a mind? Are you saying that love could direct such a course of events in that I need to find myself in the right place, at the right time, doing the right thing and with the right person or persons and then love will meet me there and then love will be there throughout? Well, the answer to this is an emphatic YES!
In a lot of ways, this is just what millions and millions of people are tapping into every day whether they realise it or not and one of the most beautiful expressions of this “being in the right place, at the right time, and with the right person” is when you fall in love. When you fall in love you vividly remember the very place that you both met and the very things that you did there and all the wonderful things that you did and said together. It’s as if that person that you fell in love with came to give you life and to give you life more abundantly, so much so that everything was transformed and you found yourself as if walking in another realm. It could have been the same old town centre that you visited for years or the same old haunts that you used to hang out in or go to but when you fell in love, all of this was transformed. You would have to say: when such relationships lead into marriage, and children are born, then you really were in the right place, at the right time, with the right person and now other little persons have come along who you are meant to spend your time with and do things with and do the right things with. You do all the right things and everything is constructive and growing, you do all the wrong things and everything is destructive and falling apart and off-track and your love for each other starts to fade and even die and you lose that something that you once had and you feel like you are getting further and further out of orbit rather than feeling that you are in orbit.
We have to all ask ourselves and people have done for centuries now: what is love? But I think that people should take this one giant leap further and not ask: what is love? But ask: Who is Love? What is it, or better said: Who is it that sets up all of these more than wonderful courses of events all around the world that result in millions and millions of wonderful relationships and millions and millions and even billions of wonderful friendships? Just what is that wonderful magnetic pull that draws people together like magnets? And just what is that wonderful feeling we feel when we as magnets suddenly click together and we finally become as one? Is love a mindless force that wonders mindlessly around the world haphazardly drawing people together and writing out these sometimes intricate courses of events that bring people into its orbit or does love have a mind and a heart? Is love more like a person than a mere thing? Is love somehow or other everywhere and all at once and all knowing and intricately and intimately involved in the affairs of every single person’s life as well as the affairs of billions of people’s lives and is able to perform this operation both on an individual level and a collective level and all at once? Well, the answer to all of these questions is: YES! As incredible as all of this might read, the answer is, yes, that it has always been love all along and many people thought it was coming from themselves when all along it was coming from another source and again, better said, it was coming from a person called “Love.”
People might ask: Who is this person called “Love?” Well, before I answer that, you would have to say that perhaps you already know what the answer is going to be by now. The answer of course is that it is God who is love, it is God who is intervening in a lot of people’s lives and does so every day and every month and every year.
We as children tend to take our parents for granted a lot but one day we stop and think about all the wonderful things they did for us in the past and we see and even count the cost of all the things they did for us and all of the love that they gave to us in taking us to all of those wonderful places and the time they spent in teaching us all the right things and so we stepped out of all this and chose to know them in ways that we never knew them before and so time went by and we grew up and matured and formulated a more mature relationship and maybe we talked to our older brother, Jesus, who pointed us to God the Father. And so we took the wise counsel of Jesus, our older brother into our hearts and we followed His good example, His good example which all pointed to the Father, to love. Jesus grew up in a large family, it is recorded in the New Testament of the bible that He had both brothers and sisters and there was at least seven children in His family and Jesus being the first born was of course the older brother who as we all know went on to give His life for us all, including His own earthly brothers and sisters, so “Thank You Jesus!” for showing us just Who and What Love is in that YOU GAVE YOUR LIFE for us – that’s what Love is! You lived in Love, You died for Love, You did all the right things at the right times and You were in all the right places with all the right people who needed You and who needed Love!
