Underneath are the Everlasting Arms! – (The Referendum)

Simple Truth

Whatever is going on on the surface of this world, it’s always best to remember that underneath are the everlasting arms. The gloomy forecast for the world of politics is as always, that it has become more and more divisive (including the present referendum), the whole agenda is to lead people into different camps that are largely fuelled by hatred and intrigue. There is a verse that comes to mind in the book of Daniel that clearly states that a king of fierce countenance and understanding dark sentences will one day stand up. The part in the verse where it says “understanding dark sentences” is very interesting as a lot of the other interpretations on this particular part of the verse describe this king as being a master of intrigue. Whether that is the correct interpretation or not, you would have to say that it’s clearly an interesting interpretation of what the verse means.

We are told by St Paul to put on the whole armour of God that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the Devil – the word “wiles” means a cunningly devised stratagem. There is another interesting translation of the verse concerning “dark sentences” in the book of Daniel on the Bible hub by JPS Tanark 1917 – their interpretation of the “dark sentence” part of the verse is that there shall stand up a king of fierce countenance, and “understanding stratagems”, so throwing all these together you kind of get a picture of a king of fierce countenance that will stand up, who will understand dark sentences (personal I take this to mean that he is into witchcraft), is a master of intrigue, and has a great understanding of stratagems.

55eb6ada38857da1fb48ee0158a4c0e6-2Clearly we get from St Paul that we should put on the whole armour of God that we might be able to stand against the wiles of the Devil, or in other words, the cunningly devised stratagems of the Devil. Paul also described this king that is to stand up as in a sense being the mystery of iniquity; the mystery of iniquity is a kind of a ‘who done it mystery’ way of looking at things in that we all know there is great evil in the world, we all know there is something that is called iniquity that is in the world. I take the word “iniquity” to mean being diabolically opposed to God. The mystery of who and what is behind all the evil in the world, or in other words, the iniquity that is in the world, is solved when you consider that it is all coming from the Devil and is designed to bring the world into the hands of this king of fierce countenance who understands dark sentences who will eventually stand up. The whole verse that comes from Daniel Chapter 8 verse 23 states:

“And in the latter time of their kingdom, when the transgressors are come to the full, a king of fierce countenance, and understanding dark sentences, shall stand up.”

I take this verse to mean when it says “in the latter time” that it is talking about the days that we are now living in, the last days. The verse goes on the say, “when the transgressors are come to the full.” I take this to mean that in a sense, everyone has so gone along with the Devil’s dark sentences, intrigues, and divisive stratagems, that they too have become diabolically opposed to God and in this same sense they have become antichrist, and further to this, in the same sense, this would mean that this king of fierce countenance who understands dark sentences will have won the elections. If we all look at the grand games that are being played out through politics then it can be looked upon in the light of a grand chess board of God verses the Devil, even the present referendum that is being played out before our very eyes would be part of this grand chess board – there is a massive move taking place before our very eyes and no-doubt the Devil and the soon to come king of fierce countenance and understanding dark sentences are making massive moves and the result of these moves will mean more and more division – but as was first stated here “Underneath are the everlasting arms.”

It was Moses who said in Deuteronomy 33:26-27

“…who rideth upon the heaven in thy help, and in his excellency on the sky. The eternal God is thy refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms: and he shall thrust out the enemy from before thee…”

It’s best we cast our lot in with God and our vote in with God and PUT ON THE WHOLE ARMOUR OF GOD as sad to say, the days are evil!
