Keeping Things Simple

Simple Truth

There is a strange truth these days and that truth is that the truth has become a complex subject. There are many ways that the truth can be lost to us all, it can be lost in translation, it can be lost through imbalance, it can be lost through people trying to be too clever, it can be lost through misrepresentation and through falsehood and lies, it can be lost through being buried in the past and it can be lost through not being brought up to date and into the future.

Wise men and prophets longed to hear the words of Jesus. Jesus Himself said, “Blessed are your eyes, for they see: and your ears, for they hear. For verily I say unto you, that many prophets and righteous men have desired to see those things which ye see, and have not seen then; and to hear those things which ye hear, and have not heard them.” (Matthew 13:16-17) Jesus always made things simple and never preached a complicated sermon, He always spoke clearly and was understood by the wise as well as the simple, by the righteous as well as the unrighteous, by the educated as well as the uneducated; He was understood by adults and children alike.

Many had come to hear the words of Solomon in Solomon’s day. People crossed land and sea to hear the wise words of King Solomon and yet Jesus said of Himself, “behold, a greater than King Solomon is here.” People have drawn the conclusion from the life and words of Jesus, that one of the hardest things in the whole wide world is just believing that it’s all so simple. The simple truth is this: “little ones to Him belong, they are weak but He is strong, red and yellow, black and white, they’re all precious in His sight, Jesus loves all the little children of the world.” Jesus said that we must become as a little child in order to enter into the Kingdom of Heaven. If we can simply receive Jesus as a little child and simply admit that we need His help, that we are morally and spiritually weak without Him then through this simple understanding and through a simple prayer we can enter into the Kingdom of Heaven. Simply ask Jesus into your heart, ask Him to help you to be more loving than you are and to be more stronger than you are. We all need to be more loving and it was Jesus who truly loved God and everybody else. With Jesus’ help and with Jesus’ love we too can find the great love that we need to both love God and love others. It really is that simple, ask Jesus to help you and He will, let Him do what you can’t. We have all fallen short of love and need Jesus’ strength of love to help us to be stronger in His Great Love.

One Response to Keeping Things Simple

  1. It is really so simple. If we believe that Jesus died for us and rose from the dead we receive entry into the Kingdom of God. I totally agree with this article, there are many people out there trying to make this process so complicated. I am really enjoying the articles on this website and am thankful there’s a great blog like this which I can refer people to. Make a decision for Jesus today folks! God bless!
